Notes for SILAS SAWYER LATHROP:
1. Silas and brother Isaac, were appraisers in the estate of Samuel A. Dickson. Brother, Joel Lathrop, married the widow of Samuel Dickson.
2. Silas advertised in the newspaper that he had found a stray horse. The horse's value had been appraised by Joel Lathrop.
3. Silas Lathrop's name was on the by-laws for the Iowa Lodge Mason s no. 2, adopted February 22, 1841.
