WILSON February 15, 1821 in Madison, Jefferson County,
IN. She was born July 15, 1803 in Mason County, VA, and died
August 30, 1851 in Madison, Jefferson County, IN. He married
(2) MARGARET March 26, 1853 in
Jefferson County, IN. She was born June 28, 1819 in Bourbon
County, KY, and died July 30, 1896. His
parents were
Issac
Lathrop and Lois Sawyer.

In the obituary of Lyman G. Lathrop, his own words, as
quoted i n the obituary: "In the Fall of 1818 father
sold out and starte d on his journey to IN, moved by wagons
to Olian Point, on the A lleghany river, 300 miles above
Pittsburg. There he purchase d a small family boat for
$35, into which we embarked, ten in nu mber, Nov. 26th,
and started down the river. The weather being c old, our
boat was frozen in sixteen miles above Marietta . * *
* In the latter part of January, 1819, the ice broke ,
the channel run clear, we launched the boat which we had
previ ously gotten out of the water, and came to Cincinnati,
which wa s then a small town. We came to Madison and landed
here the 11t h of February, 1819, and rented a log house
of John McIntyre. Th e house stood on the north side of
Main street, East of Jefferson."
