More Information about Sgt. Baney

Killed at Khe Sanh in a C-130 doing airdrops October 15th 1967

Unit: US Army 109th Quartermaster Company (Air Delivery) Cam Ranh Bay Vietnam, Charles was TDY at the 109th's small detachment of men located at at Da Nang which supported the rebuilding of the runway at Khe Sanh and the Marine buildup before the Seige started in January of 1968.

Two US Marine Riggers died jumping into Khe Sanh after a AD mission in either December 1967 or early January 1968. I'm sorry but I do not have their names or anymore information. I had it somewhere but I have not been able to find it. I may have sent the information to the archives at Texas Tech with some other documents. Assigned to Da Nang Unit (org source: conversation with Ray Stubbe, Chaplin at Khe Sanh.)

Served in the USMC 1st Platoon (AD).
