Perl Software

Let's start with ... use the provided software at your own risk. I am not responsible for any loss, harm, et cetera.

Perl programs have been tested/created with version 5.8.7. If any of them does not work with previous versions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Programs/modules have the e-mail address to contact.

Only my own modules (currently not on CPAN) are listed as requirement(s)/dependency(ies). Some of the modules/programs listed below may have unmentioned dependencies which either part of standard perl installation or are available on CPAN.

Meaningful tests have yet to be written. Only the default test is included with each module available from /parv/comp/src/perl/dist/ currently.

Namespaces -- File::MoveToDir, File::Name::Sanitize, Parv::* -- are not (have not been) coordinated with rest of the Perl community yet. Mind that Parv::* would remain a private namespace to me.

File manipulation

• File::Name::Sanitize 6.03 : Remove odd characters in file names, comes with wrapper called sanename; requires: Parv::Util
• file-search 0.27: (changes) File search with minimum horizontal scrolling (compared to grep(1))
• filtermklog: Filter make log instead of grep+shell to workaround buffering problem
• find-procmail-err: Find errors reported in procmail log
• fvwm-menu-binding: Generate some fvwm(1) key bindings from a custom configuration
• fvwm-image-list: Generate ordered fvwm(1) menu entries of image files
• listpkg 0.22: Generate installed port/package names (FreeBSD specific)
• mvre 0.61: MoVe files based on given Regular Expressions; requires: Parv::Util, File::MoveToDir
• parse-index 1.04: (updated Feb 26 2006: removed dependency on personal module) Search/browse ports index (FreeBSD specific); requires: List::Util Perl module
• undupe-mail-body 0.05: (added Feb 10 2006) Remove duplicate messages based on message body from mbox file format
