The only research I can claim credit for is for the Daniel Anderson Wells Family.
All other data is based on the research of other Robert Wells Jr. Lineage researchers such as Carol A. Williams and Patti Wells.

Ray, Thank you so much for the Lothrop update....you have been diligently digging I see. It is such a wonderful feeling to hit pay dirt.

Now as to your question....Our Wells line has only been documented in Virginia. Our new DNA 'cousin' Zachariah (b. abt 1750) was married in 1770 in Grayson Co. Va. and lived in Fincastle Co. Va. 1772. It isfamily lore, from their side, that he had an argument with 'brother'Robert and left the family residence.

Our Robert (b. abt 1753) married 1778 in Frederick, Md.went to war from the state of Va. The family lived in SW Pa/ NW Va. corner before movingoff to Ky. But where they came from ????...From the DNA study there isAugustine, was in W.Va in 1799 (or before) and Thomas, and Aaron whomarried Ruth Wiggins 1790 Mason Co. Ky. Then there is a Joseph b. 18Feb 1768 in Pa. and m 14 Jul 1789 to Sarah Farquhae.

I knew about Aaron and have him in my data base because he married intoour family, but until we can learn where the others fit in...I am notgoing to add them.

Sorry we are not connected to the Connecticut Wells, nor theConococheaque family of Thomas and Frances. The study really helped allof us focus on our lines by cutting out all the other lines....we justain't connected. We are an entity all to ourselves.

Thanks again for sharing....Cuz Carolann

" Preface: These 300 families are not to be the end of the search but the beginning. I have sought to point the way with what could be termed a reference tool, which hopefully, will give the searcher a clue, a date. As the families were collected from diverse and unverifiable sources, the data included should not be considered absolute; indeed the compiler would welcome any additions and corrections. Any such correspondence should be mailed to: Richard W. Loveless, 125 Orchard Ave, Hubbard, Ohio, 44425. "
